Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Lofts are warm, dry and quiet, which is exactly what a queen wasp looks for in spring. Understanding why helps you spot a nest early and respond calmly.
Filling the gap seems like a sensible fix, but sealing a live nest can drive wasps into your home. Here is why the entrance should stay open until it has been treated.
Not every commercial wasp call is a restaurant. Loading bays, staff canteens, and yards bring their own risks and their own solutions.
Wasps are not aggressive by nature, but a nest is a home with a queen and thousands of larvae to protect, and the colony acts as one when it feels under threat.
Wasps rarely need much of an opening, and a handful of ordinary gaps around the roof edge account for most of the nests found at the eaves.
“Contacted about a wasp nest and were out the same day, ultra professional and communicative. When the wasps moved into another nook on the property were called out again to treat with no problems.”
Dominic Byrne“Very professional, friendly and efficient. Thank you Jason and Terry. Another good job done. All our best, Steve and Jill of Letchworth Garden City.”
Steve Phypers“Amazing service, very clear explanations, and efficient handling of the wasp nest that was in my attic. Truly recommend.”
